I can confirm that it works correctly in a recent build of ffmpeg provided in libav (tested on several video files both in mp4 and mkv containers):įfmpeg version 0.8.4-4:0.8.4-0ubuntu0.12.04.1, Copyright (c) 2000-2012 the Libav developers If I remember correctly, that was a bug in older versions of ffmpeg using -vcodec copy and a bitstream filter (-vbsf filtername). Also, multiplexing cannot run - it just exits the command prompt. However, it extracts the video in the end, though I have no idea if everything went OK. Video extraction reports this error message constantly: "Failed to open bitstream filter h264_mp4toannexb for stream 0 with codec copy: Invalid argument".
